In the school holidays I went to Fiji. The island was called Plantation. I went on a three hour plane ride and a one hour boat ride. When we went to our bura we got our togs on and got into the pool. The water was warm. I found someones key and it was number 417 and we found the person. I cut my foot but it didn't stop me having fun. I had my hair braded with purple,blue,pink and white beads. Another day me and my family went on a glass bottom boat. I saw so many different coloured fish. It was amazing.

The evil jellyfish

One day on a sparkling yellow morning came a little girl called Holly. Holly’s hair was as curly as sheep fur. Then she saw a light blue dolphin. The dolphin swam past her. “Can I please have a ride on your back?” asked Holly happily.
The dolphin said “Yes”. Holly was amazed because she thought that dolphins could not talk. So she jumped on the back of the dolphin. The Dolphin said “Where do you want to go?”
Holly whispered “I want to go to the reef”.
The dolphin yelled “Okay”.
They went to the reef and there was a big jellyfish right in the way. The dolphin said “Can you please move out the way of our track?”
The jellyfish grumbled “No.”
Holly and the Dolphin swam another way but when they stopped there was another jellyfish in the way. The dolphin said “Someone is playing a trick on us.”
“The evil jellyfish must have set some of his evil jellyfish friends out” explained Holly.
The dolphin wondered “Can we go through?”
The jellyfish mumbled “No.” So the dolphin and Holly went another way.
Then they found a kind cute jellyfish. The dolphin asked “Can you please move out of the way?”
The jellyfish sang “Yes.” So the dolphin and Holly swam to the reef.
Holly happily said “There are some clownfish. “That adventure was fun” replied the dolphin.

Holiday
Skytower
In the holidays I went to the Skytower with my Granny and Grandpa for lunch. I had chips and fish and I also had salad . For a drink I had water. After we had our lunch we had our pudding. Then we went to see the viewing point. I stepped on the glass. It felt very scary. My Dad was scared to step on the glass and so I said "Come on Dad " so then he came on. He said it was scary. I said to him that I was scared as well. Then we went down the escalator. Then we looked at the shop. My Mum said I could not bye a toy.
13.4.11 Term 1 Reflection Term one has been great. I like maths best because I like learning about money and I learn some of my basic facts.
I like doing netball with Tani because we learnt to run to the side and get the ball.
In reading I like geting exiting reading books. The midnight pig. I like reading chapter books at home for my reading log.
Our first topic was summer heath. I liked taking my homework home to do. I liked making the machine were it had to cut down the tree, cut off any side branches, cut the tree into lenth and carry it away.
I liked going to the Botanic gardens.
Last week there was a big earthquake in chistchurch. Where many builds fall down. Every one was scared. Kids can't go to school.
Christchurch Earthquake
Last Tuesday Christchurch had a big, big earthquake!!
Firstly the little city shook and the buildings were falling down like rain. People were running around the city to get away from the falling buildings.
Next the fire service came. People were yelling “Help”. The fire service could hear the people yelling.
After that the fire service were trying to get people out of the buildings. As the people got pulled out they were crying.
Later there were big fires and the fire service was using a lot of water at the big fires.
I am really, really sorry for Christchurch.

On Friday there was another earthquake in Japan.
It was 8.9.

On Monday the year 4s went on a trip to the Botanic gardens, to learn about native trees.Fisrt we went on the bus.I sat with Jessica. I had Selina,Jessica and Alice in my group. We had morning tea.I had chips and pie. Then we went on the native tree trail were we had to find trees and facts about that tree.
There were a lot of mosquitoes. I got bitten a lot of times in the tree trail and they were itchy.
We got to learn a lot about trees in the native tree trail.
After that we had lunch.
Then we had drama.
We made a tree out of people.
I was the bark.
We had a great day.
Another day me and my family went on a glass bottom boat. I saw so many different coloured fish. It was amazing.
